1930 Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8A S Roadster

All roads lead back to Auburn, Indiana, the birthplace of America's collector car auction business this Labor Day weekend and Worldwide Auctioneers is gearing up for another three-day auction extravaganza at home in the original Classic Car Capital of the world. The Auburn Auction is scheduled for August 31 - September 2 at the company's Indiana headquarters, with an eclectic and carefully curated selection of pre-war automobiles, classics, sports, supercars, select American muscle cars, customs, and private no-reserve collections included in the line-up of early consignments. Leading the pack is a highly desirable 2021 Ford GT Carbon Series, one of the most exclusive Ford GTs built.

2021 Ford GT Carbon Series

Offered for sale by its sole owner, Russell Sims, a member of the Ford design team that conceived and built the 2016 Le Mans-winning Ford GT and production Ford GTs, this very singular car comes in black with exposed gloss carbon fiber over a carbon interior, $22,600 in options, comprehensive documentation and electrifying performance and acceleration.

Collectors can look forward to another outstanding offering of some of the world's finest pre-war automobiles in Auburn. Representing the pinnacle of Italian luxury car design is a well-known and exceptionally restored and documented 1930 Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8A S Roadster with Coachwork by Carrozzeria Castagna of Milan, that retains its original chassis, engine and body.

1938 Lincoln Model K Victoria Convertible

Pre-war American cars include a striking, multiple award-winning and exceedingly rare 1938 Lincoln Model K Victoria Convertible with Coachwork by Brunn & Co., the recipient of a concours-winning, body-off-the-frame restoration. Also slated for the sale is a beautifully styled 1947 Delahaye 135M Cabriolet with coachwork by Carrosseriefabriek P.J. Pennock & Zonen, another beneficiary of a recent concours restoration, offered from a significant private collection.

Auburn has welcomed more than its fair share of movie cars over the decades and this year's sale includes a highly optioned 1937 Lincoln Zephyr 'Black Beauty' V-12 Coupe, the original 'Black Beauty' used in the 1940 film The Green Hornet, selling without reserve.

1969 Chevrolet Corvette L88 Convertible

Other notable consignments include a well-documented 1969 Chevrolet Corvette L88 Convertible, 1 of only 116 L88s built in 1969, a Bloomington Gold Special Collection participant in 1988 and 2008, among the most desirable and valuable high-performance automobiles of the era. Also set to cross the block is an exciting, rare, one-year-only production barn find 1959 Porsche 356A Convertible D, with multiple factory options, as featured on automotive enthusiast Dennis Collins' YouTube series 'Coffee Walk' and documented by a Porsche COA and older California registration paperwork.

The Tom Haag Estate Collection

Worldwide is well known for representing some of the market's best no-reserve private collections and this year's Auburn Auction will include an offering of 25 great cars from The Tom Haag Estate Collection, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Cars Curing Kids, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit committed to funding and supporting causes that improve health outcomes in the lives of children. Highlights include a beautifully restored 1957 Pontiac Bonneville 'Fuelie' Convertible, 1 of just 630 fuel-injected Bonneville Convertibles built in 1957, a sinister all-steel Ford body custom-built 1932 Ford Roadster and an impeccably documented 1965 Dodge Coronet Factory-Built A-990 Lightweight, 1 of only 101 factory-built A-990 Lightweight cars. Consignments of cars and collections are still invited and can be discussed with a Worldwide specialist at +1.260.925.6789 or sales@worldwideauctioneers.com.

'Auburn is America's favorite auction for a good reason, and we're excited to have assembled a tremendous and very diverse offering of great cars, each representing the very best of its type, geared to bringing buyers and sellers together again right here in the place it all started,' said John Kruse, Principal and Auctioneer.

The Auburn Auction is scheduled to run over Labor Day weekend from August 31 - September 2 at Kruse Plaza in Auburn, Indiana. Visitors can also enjoy a hand-picked selection of some of the best memorabilia to be found, a curated marketplace of on-site automotive lifestyle vendors, car corral and swap meet, and a host of outstanding participant and spectator events during the celebrated and long-running Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival, staged that same week.
