DALLAS – Longtime auctioneer and collectibles expert Jacques Vaucher has been retained by Heritage Auctions as a special consultant as it launches its inaugural Automobilia Signature® Auction May 29 in Dallas. The nearly 300-lot auction spans high-grade scale models, porcelain signs, and rare original art relating to the world's love affair with the automobile.

'Jacques brings more than 35 years of experience in the automobilia marketplace and we are delighted he has agreed to support us in this new category,' said Karl Chiao, Acting Director, along with Lead Heritage Consultant Carl Bomstead.

Vaucher began his career in automobilia collectibles in Manhattan's Upper East Side, where he sold models, collectible brochures and paintings to Ferrari devotees. His early galleries were located in New York City and later in Easthampton, Long Island, where he managed some of the most important collections of auto-themed fine art, mascots, toys, and assorted rare collectibles. He has remained in the business and is excited to see the growth of this collectible. Jacques can be reached at Jacques@arteauto.com

Among the highlights in Heritage's May 29 Automobilia Signature® Auction is the original cover art to the Aug. 7, 1913 edition of Motor Age by Tarzan artist Clinton Pettee, and an original 1967 Indianapolis 500 car nose designed by Jim Hurtubise and signed by racer Lloyd Ruby.
