Delivering nearly 300 hp with its 4.4-liter, 32-valve V-8 engine derived from the Northstar family, the Bonneville GXP show car is mated to GM's proven Hydra-Matic 4T80-E automatic transmission with a floor-mounted shifter to satisfy the performance passions of drivers who want to feel the excitement of American style power in a full-size passenger vehicle. The Bonneville GXP was shown at the 2002 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show.
Designed with a lowered ride height for a strong wheel-to-body relationship, the Bonneville GXP is equipped with performance-tuned suspension components, GXP-specific 19-inch forged aluminum wheels and Bridgestone Potenza RE730 tires.
