1996 Citroen Berlingo Grand Large Concept

At the 1996 Paris Salon, Citroen introduced three new concept cars. They were each different but based on the new Berlingo. One was a four-door hatchback, another was a utility wagon (Panel Van), and the third was a two-door coupe with a rear truck-like area.

The 4-door hatchback sedan was the Berlingo Bulle. It was designed as a family sedan that brought its own unique design cues, making it practical yet stylish. The shape was oval allowing for plenty of interior space for its occupants.

The Coupe de Plage was the 2-door coupe/truck.

The Berlingo Grand Large was the van that would eventually become the Berlingo Multispace utility vehicle.
