The 1993 Dodge Viper RT-10 was powered by a 488 cubic-inch overhead-valve V10 engine fitted with a fuel-injection system. The 400 horsepower engine is mated to a Borg-Warner six-speed manual transmission. In the front and rear was an independent suspension with unequal-length upper and lower control arms, coil-over shock absorbers and anti-roll bars. Ventilated hydraulic discs could also be found at all four corners.

The Viper made its debut at the 1989 North American International Auto Show in Detroit and it was an immediate hit.
