The 1997 Nissan Sentra continued with very few changes over the prior year. Pricing started at around $11,970 and went as high as $16,200 for the GLE model. Power was from a four-cylinder, overhead-cam engine that produced 115 horsepower. A five-speed manual gearbox was standard with a four-speed automatic unit available as optional equipment.
