Neon's standard 132-horsepower 2.0-liter single overhead camshaft (SOHC) 16-valve 4-cylinder engine has enough kick to make driving fun, but it's economical enough to do it responsibly. Transmission

Neon offers plenty of punch with your choice of a standard five-speed manual transmission or an available electronically controlled four-speed automatic on SE and SXT.

Quiet Ride

Air Bags

Neon includes next-generation driver and front-passenger air bags,* available supplemental side air bags, child seat anchor system (LATCH), and three-point lap/shoulder belts for all passengers.

AntiLock Brakes

Four-wheel disc antilock brakes are available on SE and SXT. The system is equipped with electronic sensors that prevent wheel lockup, offering improved steering control under extreme braking and/or slippery conditions.
