Dongfeng Honda Introduces the Originally Developed New Model CIIMO

Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd., an automobile production and sales joint venture of Honda in China, yesterday introduced its first originally developed model, 'CIIMO,' a new middle-class sedan developed by the Dongfeng Honda R&D Center specially for the Chinese market.

Utilizing the platform of the 8th generation Civic, the CIIMO will feature a 1.8-liter engine with selection of automatic transmission (AT) and manual transmission (MT) models. The manufacturer's suggested retail price of CIIMO will start from 111,800 R.M.B. (approximately 1.44 million yen*). By introducing a new model originally developed by a joint venture company into the middle-class sedan segment, which is the largest segment in Chinese automobile market, Honda will continue strengthening its product lineup to better accommodate the preferences of Chinese customers.
