The CH-Auto Company was founded in China in 2003 as an automotive R&D Company. Since 2010, the design division has been headed by former GM design manager Dan Darancou. He had worked on various GM projects including the Buick Invicta Concept.

At the 2012 Beijing International Auto Show, CH-Auto introduced their Lithia Sports Car Concept. It is an electric vehicle that has design cues very similar to the Audi R8. Powering the Lithia is a set of lithium-ion batteries that give the vehicle to driving range of about 150 kilometers (nearly 100 miles).
