Since its market launch in 2008, Suzuki' mini-MPV Splash has been a hugely popular, nippy runabout which is tailored perfectly to the needs of city dwellers. The likeable allrounder is a refreshing combination of convenience, cost efficiency, safety and outstanding everyday practicality. Even British Consumer Champion honestjohn.co.uk has recently revealed that out of cars selling more than 1,000 units per annum, the Splash is the car least likely to fail its first MOT (annual safety inspection) at three years old, scoring a 90 per cent first pass rate*).
The Suzuki Splash is designed to cross boundaries and offer something for all ages and driving enjoyment for every member of the family. Couples and young families in particular, are attracted to the Splash's easy access, adjustable driver and passenger seats, superb allround view, spacious interior and clearly arranged controls. To ensure that the little runabout stays at the forefront, Suzuki engineers have decided to rejuvenate the successful model concept. As a result, the Splash now features a more sporty design, a distinctive front and strikingly dynamic lines.
New look
The outward appearance of the new-look Suzuki Splash is characterized by familiar modern lines which are even more dynamic than previously. The slightly rounded engine hood and the the larger radiator grille give the front of the car a distinctive look. The rear of the Splash now features a series of small, stylish garnish on the bumper. The revamped Splash is available in two brand-new, trendy colors: 'Sparkling Blue Metallic' and 'Bison Brown Pearl Metallic'. The interior contains plenty of space for storing and placing personal items. The newly designed seat fabric and the new white (or black) instrument panel centre garnish add to its attraction.
Comfortable and convenient, with compact dimensions
Thanks to its compact dimensions, the Splash is the perfect car to manoeuvre with ease through narrow streets or to slot into tight parking spots, and is excellently suited to motoring conditions in the 'urban jungle'. But the mini-MPV is also ideal for longer journeys: the seats can be adjusted to make lots of space for all kinds of luggage. The Splash's relatively high 1,590 mm roof line allows easy entry, plenty of cabin height and relatively high seating positions, thereby realising a roomy, comfortable interior environment with good visibility for safer driving. The driver sits is a slightly elevated position, the gear stick is located within easy reach on the centre console. While the driver steers the car in a comfortable seating position, passengers can lean back with plenty of legroom and relax – and without missing anything en route, thanks to the superb allround view and a more spacious feeling. Thus, the Splash offers its drivers all the features and functions they are looking for in a car of this type.
Fun to drive, low fuel consumption
The agile Splash is available with two efficient, dynamic engines. Thanks to the standard use of an intake- and exhaust-valve timing control, both the 1.0-liter three-cylinder and the 1.2-liter four-cylinder versions offer a lively engine performance, while the modest fuel consumption is a significant cost-saving factor.
