1968 Fiat Vignale Gamine

Roadster by Vignale

The Fiat Vignale Gamine was produced from 1967 through 1971 with an estimated production of 300. They were a small, open-top roadster with rear-engined configuration and produced by Carrozzeria Alfredo Vignale. They had seating for two occupants and a hard-top was available for an additional cost.

The engine was a 2-cylinder, air-cooled unit that displaced 499.5cc and offered about 20 horsepower.

Although the Gamine was unique, they had a high price and mediocre handling which meant that sales were slow. Ultimately, Alfredo Vignale was forced to sell his production line to De Tomaso, which used the location to production the Pantera sports car.
