1955 DKW Souderklasse

Coupe

The DKW 3=6 was a compact front-wheel drive sedan manufactured by Auto Union in Germany. It was launched in 1953 and sold until 1959. It was also known by the name Sonderklasse, and F91 (the factory project number).

The 3=6 utilized a two-stroke engine and front-wheel drive layout. In a market segment dominated by the Volkswagen Beetle, this Auto Union contender boasted class-leading interior space, especially after the arrival of the four-door version, which featured a modestly extended wheelbase.

This DKW has an interesting history. It was the very first of the current owner and was repurchased ten years later as a basket case. It has a number of rare original accessories, such as a sunroof, fog lamps, and a trailer hitch.
