- Designed and built in 1965 by Wayne Koch.

- Koch designed and modeled the frame out of straws then built and welded the space-frame chassis out of 1-inch steel tube.

- The body inspiration was based on a 7/8-sized Chaparral and constructed with fiberglass and aluminum panel. The fiberglass molds were crafted by Koch. It took about a year to build.

- Chevy II 153 cubic-inch 4-cylinder engine with two HS4 SU carburetors

- Porsche 356C Swing-axle Trans with LSD

- Front suspension utilized unequal length A-arms with coil-overs and Triumph TR3 front uprights, disc, and rack-and-pinion steering

- Kock very successfully raced during the 1966 and 1967 Mid-West SCCA division in D-Mod.

- Koch won the 1967 SCCA Mid-West Regional Championship in D-Mod.

- Koch won the SCCA 1967 American Road Race of Champions in D-Mod. at Daytona.

- In 1968, SCCA reorganized the race car classifications, which moved this car to BSR - where it was not competitive. It was therefore retired and sold to Can-Am cars, Ltd., where it remained in storage in its original condition until 1985.

- 1985: Purchased by Alan Simon. The frame was slightly modified to accept a Porsche 2-liter six-cylinder engine. It campaigned as a Porsche Special in the Southeast Vintage Racing Association.

- 1990: Sold to Warren Mosler where it was restored back to its original drivetrain configuration.

- 1998: sold back to Alan Simon and campaigned in the Historic Sportscar Racing

- 2014: Sold to Scott Barrett where it has gone through a ground-up restoration and is currently raced in Corinthian Vintage Auto Racing (CVAR) organization.
