MITSUBISHI MOTORS IN THE UK DEBUTS NEW SHOGUN SPORT COMMERCIAL AT THE CV SHOW 2018

CIRENCESTER – Mitsubishi Motors in the UK has officially unveiled the all-new Mitsubishi Shogun Sport Commercial at this year's Commercial Vehicle Show.

The purpose-built model, which is derived from the recently launched Mitsubishi Shogun Sport and is exclusive to the UK market, takes centre stage on Mitsubishi Motors' stand, number 4G90 in hall 4.

The new all-wheel drive Shogun Sport Commercial combines the go-anywhere capability and comprehensive specification of the passenger version with an interior that has been designed to accommodate sizeable loads with ease.

Behind the two front seats there is a six-inch bulkhead and a completely flat floor with bonded carpet, while security is enhanced with opaque rear side windows. Steel rear windows will be available as an option.

Perfect for business users whose work takes them regularly off-road and who require space for equipment, the Shogun Sport Commercial offers a load area of around 1,500 litres. Adding to its versatility, it is also able to tow up to 3,100kgs.

Power is provided by a 181hp 2.4-litre turbodiesel engine, which is matched to an all-new, eight-speed automatic transmission and Mitsubishi Motors' advanced Super Select II all-wheel drive system, which allows the driver to switch seamlessly between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive on all terrains.

Based on the top-of-the-range Mitsubishi Shogun Sport 4 specification, the dedicated commercial version benefits from an extensive specification that blends luxury with convenience and the very latest technological advancements from Mitsubishi.

Standard features include leather upholstery; electrically-adjustable and heated front seats; power folding mirrors; LED headlamps, tail lamps and DRLs; dual-zone climate control; keyless entry with push-button start; privacy glass and automatic headlamps and wipers; headlamp washers and the Mitsubishi Power Sound System with additional tweeters and a 510W amplifier.

Bluetooth and the Mitsubishi Motors Smartphone Link Display Audio (SDA) system with Apple CarPlay* and Android Auto* compatibility add to the model's appeal to business users.

Occupants and other road users also benefit from the latest Mitsubishi safety and driver assistance systems. These include Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), which uses radars in the front grille to judge whether there is risk of a collision with the vehicle in front, Blind Spot Warning (BSW), a 360˚ view camera, rear parking sensors and the Ultrasonic Mis-Acceleration Mitigation System (UMS) which utilises front parking sensors to halt any accidental sudden acceleration when any obstacles are detected nearby.

Pricing and further details of the Mitsubishi Shogun Sport Commercial will be announced closer to launch.
