2010 Cadillac CTS-VR

Coupe
Chassis number: 001

After the General Motors bankruptcy, Cadillac returned to racing in 2010 after a three-year hiatus. This 2010 CTS-VR is chassis number 001 and is the actual car raced by Andy Pilgrim in the competitive SCCA Pro Racing World Challenge Series. Built by Pratt & Miller, it has a gutted and strengthened chassis along with carbon fiber doors, decklid, sills and hood. It features the LS based 6.2-liter aluminum V8 engine developed by GM Powertrain Engineering and built by Katech.

Three cars were built; 001 for Pilgrim and #002 for Johnny O'Connell. The #003 chassis was used as a show car and as a backup if needed.

2011 was a development year, but 2012 saw Cadillac return to win three consecutive World Challenge Manufacturer GT Championships, Cadillac would go on to dominate, winning the Driver's Championship in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
