2002 Ford Fusion Concept

The Ford Fusion concept is an earth-friendly commuter car designed with urbanites in mind. The car/sport utility vehicle crossover concept made its U.S. debut at the 2002 Greater Los Angeles Auto Show.

The Fusion's platform is smaller than the Focus', but the concept version has the tall lines of an SUV and comes with a high seating position that creates a fairly spacious cabin for four adults and some cargo.

The Fusion takes some design cues from the all-new European Ford Fiesta. The new bi-xenon headlamps give the Fusion a distinct face, and the 18-inch aluminum wheels are nicely proportioned for the small concept. One technological feature is an integrated navigation system from Visteon that gives real-time traffic and parking information.
