2003 Buick LeSabre

2003 LESABRE MODEL CELEBRATES TWO INDUSTRY MILESTONES

For the last 10 years, Buick LeSabre has been the best-selling full-size car in the U.S. market. To commemorate this, and to celebrate Buick's centennial in 2003, the division has launched a 'Celebration Edition' of LeSabre.

'The Celebration Edition offers our loyal customers a model with a refreshed look and distinctive premium features. We're sure it will interest a lot of new customers as well,' said Annette Smith, LeSabre marketing director.

LeSabre, offered in Custom and Limited sedans as well as the Celebration Edition (an option on Limited), is known for smooth power and superior safety features. All models are again powered by the renowned 3800 3.8L Series II V6 engine connected to an electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission. LeSabre includes standard antilock brakes and 'catcher's mitt,' high-retention front outboard seats with self-aligning head restraints for improved protection in rear-impact collisions.

For 2003, LeSabre is offered with three new exterior colors: Cabernet Red Metallic, Jade Green Metallic and Sliver Blue Ice Metallic.

The 2003 LeSabre Limited offers XM Satellite Radio as an option. XM radio features 100 coast-to-coast digital channels, including 71 music channels (more than 30 of them commercial-free) from hip-hop to opera, classical to country, bluegrass to blues and 29 channels of sports, talk, children's and entertainment programming. XM also brings to the car, for the first time on radio, a diverse selection of 24-hour news sources previously available only in the home. XM's next-generation sound quality technology provides superior sound remarkably close to compact disc.

Celebration Edition

Buick will build about 10,000 LeSabre Celebration Editions. The exterior package comes with a new monochrome emblem, a grille with blacked-out bars, a blacked-out license plate pocket and two new optional premium paints - Crimson Pearl (a rich red color) and White Diamond - in addition to the standard Light Bronzemist. Also featured are body-color lower fascias and rocker moldings, turn-signal indicators in the side mirrors and new 16-inch chrome-plated aluminum wheels.

Interior refinements to the Celebration Edition enhance LeSabre's reputation for affordable luxury and value. Two-tone leather seats with embroidered logos are standard, as is Black Cherry woodgrain on the instrument panel and door trim pads. There are chrome interior door handles and the floor mats receive the special embroidered Buick tri-shield.

LeSabre is known for providing premium safety features, and the Celebration Edition is no exception, offering standard OnStar, the 24-hour on-demand navigation and assistance service, StabiliTrak, an advanced integrated vehicle stability control system that helps the driver maintain control in a skid or slide, and head-up display.

Optional features with the LeSabre Celebration Edition package include XM Satellite Radio, a sunroof and the Gran Touring package, which features a specially tuned sporty suspension with rear stabilizer bar and 16-inch all-season touring tires.

Buick's Convenience Plus package of features includes delayed entry and exit lighting, theater dimming, flash-to-pass control, battery rundown protection, lockout protection, delayed locking, auxiliary power outlet, retained accessory power, theft-deterrent system and daytime running lamps. Cruise control and power windows and door locks are also standard.

The widely acclaimed 3800 3.8L Series II V6 engine offers smooth power combined with excellent fuel economy (estimated at 20-mpg city, 29-mpg highway). The 3.8L engine provides 205 hp at 5200 rpm and 230 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm.
