VAUXHALL ASTRA SCOOPS TOP HONOURS AT CAR TECH AWARDS
Luton – Vauxhall's all-new Astra has been recognised for its outstanding range of advanced technology features, picking up a handful of accolades at the Car Tech Awards. This latest victory confirms the all-new Astra's position as one of the top new models on the market.
Carbuyer and Alphr, leading car review and technology websites, have joined forces to develop the Car Tech Awards, a celebration of the very best in-car technology on the market today. The awards focus on a car's connectivity, driver assistance systems and safety innovations, as these features are now considered by many buyers to be 'must-haves' alongside traditional aspects such as reliability, and performance.
Stuart Milne, Editor of Carbuyer, said: 'We were hugely impressed by the range of technology the Astra offers, its ease of operation and the depth of its ability. The Astra - and its tech - is priced so affordably, making it all the more impressive.'
Rory Harvey, Vauxhall's Chairman and Managing Director, said: 'The Astra has performed strongly this year, and now it has proven itself to be a top contender in terms of technology, safety and connectivity.'
The all-new Astra has had an incredibly successful year, with the Car Tech awards joining an impressive list of accolades that includes being named a Game-Changer by Autocar and picking up European Car of Year, as well as category wins in the Auto Express, WhatCar? and Fleet News Awards.
