He also drove several Porsche 911's and 914s. He raced for two decades spanning 1957 through 1977, with a total of 94 races. The Causey P6 had a similar appearance to an earlier car, the Causey P3. There were three examples of the P3 built and two were powered by a Brian Hart 4-cylinder motor and mated to a Hewland gearbox. The third car, commonly referred to as the P6, was fitted with a Porsche 901 2-liter engine. A Porsche gearbox was used but did not provide flexibility in gear changes, so it was switched to a Hewland unit.The bodywork is elegant and attractive, having a similar design to the Ferrari 206 Dino and the Ferrari P4.
