1976 Jensen Interceptor

1976 was the final year for the Jensen Interceptor Mark III production. A total of 6,387 examples were produced from 1966 through 1975. The Interceptor was available as a two-door Saloon or convertible, with pricing starting at $24,750. Powering the car was an overhead cam 90-degree V-8 engine that produced 385 horsepower. It had a TorqueFlite three-speed automatic gearbox with a 3.07:1 gear ratio. Braking power was from power Dunlop disc brakes at all four corners. Top speed was in the neighborhood of 140 mph with a zero-to-sixty time of just 7.5 seconds. The quarter mile was achieved at 92 mph and took 15.2 seconds.
