1924 Barley Model 6-50

The Barley Company of Kalamazoo, Michigan, was produced from 1923 through 1924. The company produced a small, medium-priced vehicle powered by Continentals L-head six-cylinder engine. Initially, the company offered a Touring and Sedan model and was followed by a Sport Sedan.

The cars were produced in limited numbers, and in modern times, only two examples are known to survive, and both are part of the Gilmore Car Museum Collection.

The Barley Motor Car Company of Kalamazoo is best remembered for the elegant Roamer, built from 1916 to 1930. Roamers were marketed to society's elite and competed with Rolls-Royce, while the Barley was the firm's attempt at a less expensive, mid-level car.
