For 1992, the Volkswagen Corrado's G60 engine was replaced by a narrow-angled VR6 unit. Slight modifications were made to the grille, turn signals, front spoiler, and hood. Pricing began at $21,840 and there were 3,439 examples produced. The six-cylinder engine displaced 170 cubic-inches and produced 172 horsepower and 177 lbs.-ft of torque. It had a five-speed manual gearbox and disc brakes at all four corners.
