The 1957 Austin A55 Mark I Cambridge was powered by an overhead valve four-cylinder engine delivering 51 horsepower. It had a cam-gear steering, hydraulic drum brakes, and a four-speed manual transmissions. Pricing began at $2010 for the 4-door sedan. In Europe, the car was known as the 'Cambridge', but in the United States, the name had already been taken by Plymouth. So, in the United States, the vehicle was known as the Cambrian instead.

This example was ordered new by a lady in Maryland. It was brought to Southern California in the late 1950s where it spent its life. It is a two owner car that has been well cared for and documented. It has one lacquer repaint and the interior has been freshened with some new seat material and carpet. There are 51,712 actual miles. There are subtle hand painted accent stripes which enhances the car's appearance.

In 2012, this car was brought to Barrett-Jackson's auction in Scottsdale, Arizona where it was sold for $8,525.
