The BMW 6-Series coupe made its debut in 1976 and brought with it some components destined for the yet-to-be-announced 7-Series. I was mechanically similar to the 5-series saloons and styled by Karmann like the preceding 3.0CS/CSi. Power was from a 196 cubic-inch engine and fitted with four-wheel disc brakes. Zero-to-sixty was in the mid-seven second range with a top speed of achieved at 134 mph.

For the US market, the 633CSi was not officially imported until the 1978 model year.

This 633CSi example has been given a restoration in 2006 and has covered just 68,600 kilometers.

In 2012, the car was offered for sale at the Bonhams Monaco sale. As bidding came to a close, the car had been sold for €6,325 including buyer's premium.
