1928 Chevrolet National Model AB

1928 Chevrolet National Model AB 1928 was a milestone year for Chevrolet. A redesign resulted in a larger car with full crown fenders, a high cowl line, and larger headlamps. Standard equipment included a vacuum wiper, inside rearview mirror, stop light, parking lights, door pockets, and gas gauge.

This was the last year Chevrolet would offer a four-cylinder motor (a six would arrive in 1929) and the first year for four-wheel brakes. And, most significantly - Chevrolet was now outselling its arch-rival, Ford.

The 171 cubic-inch Chevrolet four-cylinder motor developed 35 horsepower and was installed in a 107-inch wheelbase chassis. The two-door coach model sold for $585 new in 1928.
