1956 Hudson Rambler

By 1956, Hudson and Rambler were owned by the American Motors Corporation, commonly known as AMC (The Hudson/Nash merger occurred in 1954). The vehicles were titled 'Hudson' and sold by both Hudson and Rambler dealers. The 1956 Hudson Ramblers were nearly identical to the Nash Ramblers, except for having hubcaps with an 'H' in the center. There were also 'H' logo grille inserts to help distinguish them from their Nash cousins. Power was from a six-cylinder engine offering 120 horsepower. Popular options included power steering, air conditioning, a radio, and a heater.

For 1956, a total of 20,496 examples of the Hudson Rambler were produced.

In keeping with the Nash tradition, the vehicles featured unit construction and were built on a 108-inch wheelbase. The Deluxe line of ramblers included a 4-door sedan body style and sold for $1830. A Super and Custom line was also available and included a 4-door sedan or station wagon. Custom lines could be ordered with tri-tone paint.
