1961 Cadillac Eldorado Concept

This Cadillac was originally built as the Le Mans. It was taken from the production line and had its body rebuilt. It was Special Order 50110. The wheel wells in the rear were opened up. It had ribbed aluminum rocker panel moldings installed. The interior has two bucket seats and a floor shifter in the center console. The taillight fins are filled in, and the hood and lower front bumper are fiberglass. The hubcaps, now missing, were unique. The taillight lenses are unique as is the grille, the Eldorado letters, the wreath, and the crest badging.

The car, changed to the current configuration, was shown at the 1962 Chicago Auto Show. The car has been in storage and out of public view for about three decades. It is rumored to have been once owned by Walter Hagen and was most likely Bill Mitchell's personal transportation.

It was purchased off Craig's list in 2011.
