1965 Lamborghini 400GT Flying Star II

The Lamborghini 400 GT Flying Star II was a concept car built by Carrozzeria Touring in the mid-1960s and put on display at the 1966 Turin Motor Show. It was named the 'Flying Star II' though there was no Flying Star I. Touring's goal with building the 400 GT Flying Star II was to inspire a contract to build the 400GT's successor.

The car was built on a shortened 400 GT chassis and wore a body by Carlo Anderloni. It was a fully functional prototype powered by a V12 mated to a 5-speed transmission and fitted with a fully independent suspension system. There were disc brakes at all four corners.

The two-door coupe design featured dual headlights in the front and a sloping rear hatchback that offered ample room for luggage, making this a suitable GT Touring car for two occupants.

This would be the final design to come out of Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera before the company was revived in 2006.

In the late 1990s, this car was offered for sale. It was later given a restoration by Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera.
