1996 Buick Roadmaster

The 1996 Buick Roadmaster was available as a sedan and a station wagon in both Base and Limited edition models. Pricing began at $25,560 for the sedan and rose to $29,500 for the Estate Wagon Limited. The base engine was an overhead valve V8 engine displacing 5.7 liters and fitted with a sequential port fuel injection system. This was the final year of production for the Roadmaster and all models came with a Collector's Edition designation in their stand-up hood ornaments. Standard equipment included the OBD II onboard diagnostics, Convenience Plus electrical features, and clamshell-style armrest.

The Roadmaster could be ordered with the towing package which was advertised to allow the car to two up to 5,000 pounds. The two packages added 2.93 gears and a limited-slip differential, heavy-duty cooling system including transmission and oil coolers, and a factory-installed self-leveling rear suspension.
