The Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce Convertible was the only model sold by Alfa Romeo in the United States for 1980. Pricing began at $14,000 and power was from a dual overhead-cam four-cylinder engine offering 110 horsepower. They had a five-speed manual transmission and disc brakes. Changes and modifications for 1980 included a restyled grille, new door panels that incorporated a map pocket and armrests, and the bucket seats were given new upholstery. The cars had a trip odometer, tachometer, two-speed heater, windshield washer, wood-rim steering wheel, reclining bucket seats, a carpeted luggage shelf behind the seats, and a carpeted trunk.
