In 1966, the Imperial Crown Series received minor exterior modifications. In the front was a new grille with the four headlights recessed into chrome panels. In the back, the same deck treatment continued without modifications. Standard equipment included power brakes, power steering, power windows, electric clock, undercoating, vanity with mirror, and carpeting the overhead valve V8 engine displaced 440 cubic inches and offered 350 horsepower. Three body styles were available, including a 2- and 4-door hardtop and a convertible. The most popular body style was the 4-door Hardtop which saw 8,977 examples produced. 2,373 of the 2-door hardtops were built, while just 514 were convertibles. Pricing began at $5,740 for the 4-door.
