1989 Nissan 300ZX

The non-Japanese markets of the Z31 and Z32 generations of the Nissan Z that were built from 1983 to 2000 are commonly known as the Nissan 300ZX. For seven consecutive years, Car and Driver magazine rated the Z32 on its Ten Best list. In 1990, Motor Trend awarded it as the Import Car of the Year.

For the US market, the all-new generation of the Z-car arrived in the Spring of 1989. Along with a new design, it also came with an all-new, twin-overhead-cam 3-liter V6 with variable valve timing and distributorless ignition. The naturally aspirated version was rated at 222 horsepower while the turbocharged version brought horsepower to 300 BHP. Bodystyles including the GS Hatchback, a 2+2 GS Hatchback, and a turbocharged coupe. Pricing began at $27,300 and rose to $33,000.
