Fiat Professional will underline its position as the undisputed market leader in the European motorhome sector when it takes centre stage at The Motorhome & Caravan Show 2016 at the NEC this week.

Star of the show will be the sixth generation Fiat Ducato – the model on which two out of every three motorhomes sold in Europe is based and the platform on which many of the most eagerly-awaited, new-for-2017 product launches will be built.

But the latest incarnation of the industry's benchmark model and biggest seller is not the only big news from Fiat Professional. The brand will also unveil a pioneering suite of customer care and support initiatives designed to elevate the ownership experience to industry-leading levels.

This includes 'Conciergerie' – a unique new service launching later this year in Britain which builds on the already exceptional customer service offered to Fiat motorhome owners. It offers access to a team of motorhome experts who can help with everything from campsite searches to restaurant bookings.

New Ducato
Bristling with innovation and class-leading technology, the latest generation of Fiat Professional's multi award-winning Ducato sets new standards across the board.

Purpose designed as a motorhome it offers unrivalled build quality, comfort performance and car-like driving dynamics.

Much of the Ducato's success has been based upon the extraordinary breadth of its base range and the sixth generation continues this tradition with the widest and most comprehensive list of variants in its segment.

Sixth generation Ducato is available in five wheelbases, six different chassis lengths and four engine options. In total, by combining different bodies, capacities and engines, more than 600 specific motorhome versions can be chosen.

Beneath the bonnet there's a choice of Euro 6 Multijet2 engines – all of which deliver best-in-class efficiency – delivering between 115 and 180 bhp. All 2.3 litre powertrains can be paired with the optional 'Comfort Matic' robotised gearbox for ease of driving and greater efficiency.

The model also features a number of other innovations, enhancing its performance as an all round motorhome.

These include:
◾rear suspension in composite material to reduce kerb weight
◾total payload up to 4.4 tons
◾reinforced front suspension for motorhome versions with high gross vehicle weight
◾customisable styling with two different front grille colours, skid-plate, headlights with integrated DRL and the 16' alloy wheels

The new Ducato is also available with a number of state-of-the-art driving aids more commonly found on high end passenger cars, including Hill Descent Control, Lane Departure Warning System, High Beam Recognition and Cruise Control.

Conciergerie

Conciergerie allows customers easy access to tourist information, camping site and parking area searches, transport and restaurant booking. This innovation is in addition to Fiat's current dedicated customer care services tailored specifically for the motorhome owner,

This is further supported by a free mobile phone app – Fiat Ducato Camper Mobile – which provides instant access to dedicated customer support channels at the swipe of a finger.

Already the app is proving hugely popular with motorhome owners, with more than 80,000 downloads to date.
