2018 BMW M6

2018 BMW M6
Packed with power normally reserved for the track, M generates performance unlike anything else. And after four decades of delivering hair-raising thrills, it's still pushing the limits. But don't just take our word for it. Grip the wheel of any of our 8 M models—from coupes to convertibles to Sports Activity Vehicle® – and elevate your adrenaline rushes to a whole new level.2018 BMW M6
At the heart of every M is advanced BMW engineering. Intelligent lightweight materials—including Carbon Fiber—reduce weight for optimum agility. State-of-the-art TwinTurbo technology also ensures a lighter body by decreasing the number of cylinders, while still delivering greater than 100 horsepower per liter.

2018 BMW M6
It all started on the track in 1972. What began as a division for BMW's racing teams quickly grew to become an incredible passion for many BMW enthusiasts. Its on-track success spurred the world's most coveted high-performance vehicles: the original M1, the iconic E30 M3, and most recently, the intensely thrilling M2.

Seductively powerful.
Available in Convertible and Gran Coupe, the M6 models make a stunning impression on the track and the road.

560 horsepower drive the M6 Gran Coupe and Convertible. Combine that with luxurious details so unique they beg for closer inspection, and you can make no mistake—the M6 is a powerhouse, but it's designed to feel palatial.

The stance. The long hood. The perfectly sloped windshield. The M6's curves stem from advanced wind-tunnel aerodynamic work, seen in the huge M-specific air inlets in the front apron, and a carbon-fiber roof with a molded air channel.

It's an M, so the M6's 560 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque are no surprise. Launch Control lets your engine achieve maximum acceleration from a standing start, so you can brandish every lb-ft right off the line.

M engineers spare no detail when it comes to chassis performance. The M6's rear-axle subframe is bolted directly to the body without the use of rubber bushings, making for an agile ride that's as responsive as possible.

The M6 features a beautiful quad-bank exhaust that brings a powerful, sporting look to its back end. And while innovations in the engine effectively cut emissions, the exhaust still adds performance presence with a potent bass-driven engine sound that packs a deep punch.

Every aspect of this cabin is a step up. From iDrive 6.0, built-in Wi-Fi, and a standard wireless charging pocket, to custom design options like BMW Individual leather—nothing is more suitable for such a powerful ride.

2018 BMW M6Dynamic Damper Control lets you customize your shock absorbers' firmness with three modes: SPORT+, SPORT, and COMFORT. The M Drive system also lets you save two driving settings, which you can activate with M1 and M2 buttons on the steering wheel.

An optional 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters provides instantaneous track-inspired shifts, but for the purists who want an analog connection to the road, a 6-speed manual transmission comes standard.

High-pressure injectors inject fuel in 0.27 milliseconds, making it possible to introduce multiple injections of fuel within one single combustion process. An electronic control system adjusts the timing and dose of the injected fuel according to the engine power demand, operating temperature and cylinder pressure, so combustion is precisely controlled, extremely clean, and outstandingly efficient in every driving situation.
