September 17, 2018 by Mercedes-Benz

Mercedes-Benz has won two awards at this year's BusinessCar awards. The all-new A-Class was named 'Best Premium Compact Car', while the flagship S-Class won the 'Best Luxury Car' title.

The A-Class, which was launched earlier this year, was praised for its luxurious interior and innovative technology, all while maintaining low running costs. The S-Class continues to be recognised for its comfortable interior, clever technology and range of refined petrol and diesel engines.

Simon Harris, editor, BusinessCar, commented: 'The latest A-Class sets new benchmarks in the highly competitive compact premium car sector, ensuring its desirability for company car choosers while offering low operating costs for fleets.

'Our judging panel also liked its high-tech features, enjoyable driving experience and excellent all-round appeal.

'The Mercedes-Benz S-Class has long been a benchmark in the luxury saloon sector, and has been a pioneer in vehicle safety over the years. Recent updates ensure it maintains its position, whether used by chauffeur companies or as a company car for chief executives.'

The A-Class is now available with a choice of five frugal engines: A 180 d; A 180; A 200; A 220 and A 250. Prices start at £22,850 for the entry-level A 180 SE. The A-Class showcases the company's all-new MBUX infotainment system, which includes a high-resolution touchscreen and 'Hey Mercedes' intelligent voice control.

The A 220 and A 250 are optionally available with 4MATIC all-wheel-drive. The A-Class Saloon is also now on sale, with prices starting from £27,895.
