1982 AAR Eagle Indy Car

1982 AAR Eagle Indy Car 1982 AAR Eagle Indy Car 1982 AAR Eagle Indy Car Dan Gurney had a well-proven reputation at the Indianapolis 500. His All American Racers (AAR) won the famous race three times in Eagle cars in 1968, 1973, and 1975.

The Genesee Beer Wagon Eagle/Chevrolet 'BLAT' – Boundary Layer Adhesion Technology' was driven to 11th place in the 1983 Indy 500 by Rookie Steve Chassey. It was the only normally aspirated 355 cubic inch Chevrolet stock-block V8 in the field. It was a Menard team car used in the 1982 Michigan 500 among other races. It was raced on the 'big ovals' (Michigan, Pocono, and Indy) in the 1983 season and was retired at the end of the season when CART – Championship Auto Racing Teams – outlawed BLAT technology once described as an 'upside down F-16.

A careful and faithful restoration returned the car to perfect running condition making it a true time capsule appearing exactly as it rolled off the track in 1983.
