The new large family cars have passed WLTP certification to confirm the impressive figures, before joining PEÚGEOT's growing plug-in electric hybrid and fully electric vehicle range. The all-new 508 HYBRID and 508 SW HYBRID combine the 132kW (180hp) 1.6L PureTech petrol engine with an 80kW (110hp) electric motor on the front axle, for a total power output of 165kW (225hp).

2020 Peugeot 508 HybridBoth models use an 11.8kWh battery, with a full recharge taking less than two hours with a 7kW on board charger (optional depending on version). According to official WLTP tests, the 508 HYBRID returns 217mpg, with ultra-low CO2 emissions of just 29g/km, while the 508 SW HYBRID will achieve the same fuel economy with CO2 emissions of 30g/km.

Each 508 HYBRID and 508 SW HYBRID will be available with four driving modes:

•ZERO EMISSIONS: 100% electric drive for a maximum range of 33 miles* in the 508 HYBRID and 32 miles** in the 508 SW HYBRID
•SPORT: Combines the power from both the 132kW 1.6L PureTech petrol engine and the 80kW electric motor for maximum performance
•HYBRID: Switches between electric and engine power for optimised efficiency
•COMFORT: Combines HYBRID mode with a softer suspension configuration for improved ride comfort

With ultra-low CO2 emissions of 29g/km Ŧ and 30g/km Ŧ Ŧ, the all-new 508 HYBRID and 508 SW HYBRID benefit from the lowest Benefit-in-Kind (BIK) rate for business and fleet users. Both models attract a BIK rating of only 10% from April 2020***.

Through clever engineering of the battery pack, PEÚGEOT has achieved zero compromise in boot space or versatility compared to conventional 508 and 508 SW models. The all-new 508 HYBRID comes with 487-litres of boot space, with the 508 SW HYBRID providing 530-litres of load capacity.

David Peel, Managing Director of PEÚGEOT ÚK, said: 'PEÚGEOT is rapidly embracing an electric future.
