1975 Dodge Charger

The 1975 Dodge Charger was available only as a two-door hardtop coupe with pricing beginning at $4,900. It was built atop the same platform as the Coronet line and had a long hood with short rear deck styling, and padded top with opera windows. In the front was a rectangular grille opening with three horizontal divider bars flanked on either end by single round headlights housed in round, chrome bezels. In the back were double horizontal taillights. The standard engine was the 360 cubic-inch two-barrel V8 offering 180 (Net) horsepower. Other versions of the 360 CID and 400 CID were offered as optional equipment. The engine was backed by a TorqueFlite automatic transmission, and standard features included dual horns, radial white sidewall tires, power front disc brakes, power steering, and an electronic digital clock.

Mid-way through the year, Dodge offered a Daytona option package, the first time since 1969 that Dodge had used the name. It came in three color combinations and included two-tone exterior paint with Daytona lettering. This package retailed for $132, and also included vinyl bucket seats.
