1967 HWM Jaguar Special

Hersham & Walton Motors, best known as 'HWM,' was established in 1946 at Walton-on-Thames England, and founded by prewar racing drivers George Abecassis and John Heath. Among the companies, accolades are providing the racing stable that gave Stirling Moss, Peter Collins, and Paul Frere their first rides in Grand Prix racing.

The company was in business as a constructor for seven years and during that time, built fewer than two dozen cars. Although the numbers were small, they were highly respected and successful in competition. Most of these cars have survived into modern times. After the tragic death of Heath in a crash at the 1956 Mille Miglia, and the marriage of Abecassis to the daughter of David Brown, Aston Martin's then-owner, brought a shift from racing to managing the company's road-car dealership thereafter. HWM continues today as the world's oldest Aston Martin dealer.
