1967 Ferves Ranger

The Italian-based Ferves Company, which referenced (FERrari VEicoli Speciali), introduced its first automobile at the Turin Motor Show in 1966. Production would continue until 1970. The compact Ferve vehicles were based on the Fiat 500 and powered by a rear-mounted 499cc two-cylinder inline engine. Although having a small footprint, they were versatile, with seating for up to four occupants, or could be ordered as a cargo version with a carrying capacity of 300 kg. Two-wheel and four-wheel drive options were available. They had a very low gear ratio which added to their off-road persona.

The Ferves Ranger was a compact off-roader with a design by Carlo Ferrari. It used the engine from the Fiat 500 and offered 18 horsepower. The all-independent suspension was from the 600D.

During the production lifespan of the Ferves Ranger, approximately 600 examples were produced and it is believed that fewer than 50 remain. All were left-hand-drive.
