2021 Haas VF-21

The 2021 Haas VF-21 Formula One racing car was designed and constructed by Haas and powered by the 2021 Ferrari power unit, the 065/6.

The Haas F1 Team had a successful 2018 season where they finished fifth in the constructor's championship, so retained their driver line up for 2019 consisting of Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen for the third consecutive year. The VF-19 of 2019 showed impressive pace during the early part of the season, with Magnussen finishing 6h at the opening race in Australia. This would turn out to be the team's best result of the season. Haas finished the season in 9th place in the constructors' championship with 28 points, the team's worst finish since their founding in 2016.

For the 2020 season, Haas retained the lineup of Grosjean and Magnussen as their drivers, with Magnussen placing 9th in Hungary, but due to a time penalty would ultimately be classified in 10th. Grosjean finsihed 9th in the Eifel Grand Prix. Each driver would finish the season with three points, and the team finished 9th in the Constructor's Championship, scoring the fewest points in team history.

At the end of the 2020 Championship, both Grosjean and Magnussen departed Haas and were replaced by Russian Nikita Mazepin, and the 2020 Formula 2 Championship winner Mick Schumacher, son of seven-time Formula One world champion Michael Schumacher. The team's car was the VF-21 which was a modified VF-20 chassis as the team focused its resources on the 2022 car.

The VF-21 was identical to the VF-20 except for the downforce cuts mandated by the 2021 regulations, with reworked barge boards and tapered floor. When it was introduced, the livery appeared to feature the Russian flag, possibly due to the team having a Russian title sponsor and a Russian driver. The team has secured sponsorship with Uralkali, a Russian potash fertilizer producer of which Mazepin's father Dmitry is a key shareholder.

The team's best finish was a twelve-place finish at the Hungarian Grand Prix. They would not score any points throughout the season. At the final race of the season, Mazepin tested positive for COVID-19 and was unable to compete. A replacement driver could not be sourced, so only Schumacher competed, finishing 14th overall.
