STREET RODDER ROAD TOUR CARS HIGHLIGHT MECUM ANAHEIM AUCTION NOV. 12-14• Anaheim Convention Center Event to Feature 750 Collector Cars at Auction

Walworth, Wis. – Oct. 27, 2015 – Three hot rods from 'Street Rodder' magazine's 'Road Tour Collection' are among the main attractions at the Mecum auction in Anaheim, Calif., to take place Nov. 12-14 at the Anaheim Convention Center. An estimated 750 collector cars, including a variety of SoCal flare of American muscle cars, classics, hot rods, Resto Mods and more, are expected to cross the auction block.

The auction is open to buyers, sellers and spectators. General admission tickets are available in advance and at the gate for $25 per person, per day, and children 12 and younger receive complimentary admission.

This year marks 20 years since the Street Rodder Road Tour was founded by Jerry Dixey. Dixey was approached by 'Street Rodder' magazine with a concept of building a street rod using advertisers' products and driving it to each National Street Rod Association event around the country. Each year since, a car has been selected to lead the pack. Three of these remarkable Street Rodder Road Tour cars will be available at the Mecum Anaheim Auction: a 1952 Chevrolet Bel Air Pro Touring (Lot S120), the 2009 AMSOIL/Street Rodder Road Tour Car; a 1955 Chevrolet 210 Pro Touring (Lot S118), the 2011 AMSOIL/Street Rodder Road Tour Car; and also a 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe Street Rod (Lot S119) that was the 2012 AMSOIL/Street Rodder Road Tour Car.

Also consigned to the Mecum Anaheim Auction are a group of vehicles from the Mike Doyle Collection including 15 cars, one firetruck and his very last motorcycle. Doyle, of Dixon, Calif., will offer a 1920 Franklin 9-B Sedan V-windshield (Lot S163), a 1965 Amphicar Convertible (Lot S151), a 1953 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible (Lot S152), a 1925 Ford Model T Roadster (Lot S161), and also a street-legal 1929 Ford Dirt Track Racer (Lot S155). Also included is his 1958 Fairlane 500 Skyliner (Lot S162) that he has owned since 1961.
