The Mercedes-AMG DTM Team will start the 2016 season with new presenter Thore Schölermann

Preparations by the Mercedes-AMG DTM Team for the start of the season on the weekend of 6th-8th May at Hockenheim are in full swing. Famous German TV presenter and actor, Thore Schölermann, will be on board for the start of this new season. He will present exclusive videos this year on the in-house broadcasting channel, Mercedes-AMG DTM Race Hub TV.

In the videos, Schölermann will give fans an idea of what is happening behind the scenes at the Mercedes-AMG DTM Team and show just how funny and entertaining drivers and team members can be. His posts can be viewed at mercedes.me/racehubdtm, on the official Facebook page (www.facebook.com/MercedesAMGDTM) and on the team's official YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/MercedesAMGDTM).

The Mercedes-AMG DTM Race Hub gives fans the chance to experience the DTM even more intensely via the second screen. In addition to video clips with Thore Schölermann, the Mercedes-AMG DTM Race Hub features the latest news, live timings, fan-voting, quizzes, fan commentaries and much more. The Mercedes-AMG DTM Race Hub is available in German and English and works across all platforms from desktops and tablets to mobile devices.

Schölermann is well known to TV viewers for presenting programmes including The Voice of Germany reality talent show and the lifestyle magazine 'taff' on ProSieben. Since 2013, he has also presented children's talent show The Voice Kids on Sat.1. In addition, he has appeared in television series such as Verbotene Liebe (Forbidden Love) and Alarm für Cobra 11 – Die Autobahnpolizei (Alarm for Cobra 11 - the Highway Patrol). He gained his first motor racing experience in 'TV total Stock Car Crash Challenge'. He will be stepping on the gas with the Mercedes-AMG DTM Team on Racehub TV, starting this season.
