RM Sotheby's is delighted to announce an exciting roster of early consignments for its inaugural Tegernsee sale, which will be held at the Bavarian beauty spot just a 40-minute drive from Munich. The auction will take place during the brand new Concours of Elegance, which will bring some of the world's most desirable classics to southern Germany from 22-27 July.

Among the standout early consignments to the sale is the one-off opportunity to acquire the very first build slot for the hotly anticipated HWA EVO. Based on the Mercedes-Benz W201 series, the HWA EVO takes the design language of the iconic 190E 2.5-16 EVO II and redefines it for a new age, pairing the classic shape with a cutting-edge powertrain, chassis, brakes, and aerodynamics. The eagerly anticipated reinterpretation of a classic is set to become an instant classic, with just 100 examples expected to be built, the very first of which will be sold 'off-plan' at the Tegernsee auction.

HWA has developed a reputation as one of the most successful motorsport engineering brands in the world since its inception as a standalone entity in 1998. The firm is based at a state-of-the-art facility in Affalterbach, Germany, and is a multiple DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters) winner with legendary drivers including Bernd Schneider. The HWA EVO project is the latest installment in a glittering run of road cars that includes the incredible Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Coupé and the celebrated 2008 Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series.

Equally exciting is the addition of a 1965 Aston Martin DB Short-Chassis Volante to the sale. The rarest series production Aston Martin convertible model ever made, it is one of only 37 examples of the coveted Short-Chassis 'interim' built. Presented in red over cream Connolly hide, this gorgeous and incredibly rare evolution of the DB5 was supplied new to the United States (Estimate: €1,000,000 - €1,400,000 EUR).

Rivalling the Aston for coachbuilt beauty is a stunning 1949 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Super Sport Coupé by Touring. One of the finest grand tourers of the era, it boasted true 100-mph performance and achingly pretty coupé coachwork styled by Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera of Milan. The Alfa Romeo is said to have been subject to a five-year restoration and retains its matching-numbers chassis and engine. It is estimated to sell between €600,000 - €750,000 EUR.

The 6C 2500 will be joined by a 1994 Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI DTM that was raced by Touring Car ace Christian Danner. Producing around 420 horsepower, it is estimated to sell for between €650,000 - €700,000 EUR.

A duo of Maranello supercars will also be offered in the sale, the first a 2014 Ferrari 458 Speciale. A striking example of the lightweight, performance-orientated Ferrari 458, this Nero Daytona with Grigio Corsa stripe example displays just 10,979 kilometres (Estimate: €395,000 - €445,000 EUR). It is followed by a 2007 Ferrari 430 Scuderia, which is also attractively finished in Nero (Estimate: €190,000 - €240,000 EUR).

A 1992 Porsche 911 Carrera RS rounds out the early consignments. A spectacular example of the ultra-desirable lightweight 964 Carrera RS finished in the model's iconic shade of Rubystone Red, the car benefits from a matching-numbers engine and a recent restoration (Estimate: €300,000 - €350,000 EUR).
