MAZDA INVESTIGATING EXPANDED TAKATA RECALL ANNOUNCED MAY 4, 2016
May 5, 2016 by MazdaWASHINGTON, DC (May 4, 2016) – Mazda is currently investigating the vehicle population affected by today's announcement by Takata that it is expanding its driver and passenger frontal airbag inflator recall. None of the 2016 model year Mazda vehicles contain Takata driver or passenger frontal airbag inflators. Mazda North American Operations is headquartered in Irvine, Calif., and oversees the sales, marketing, parts and customer service support of Mazda vehicles in the United States and Mexico through more than 700 dealers. Operations in Mexico are managed by Mazda Motor de Mexico in Mexico City.
