CARLISLE, PA – The Carlisle Auctions team has been cranking out successful auctions event after event since the re-launch of the brand in the early part of this decade. Over a dozen auctions later and the ability of Carlisle Auctions to stage a fun-filled extravaganza continues; with its most recent offering at Fall AutoFest in Lakeland, Florida drawing over 400 consignments, hundreds more bidders and nearly $3 million in total sales.

The flawlessly run auction took place November 11-12 at the spacious SUN 'n FUN Campus and drew rave reviews and some high quality consignments. With a check in process and overall bidder/consignor experience that is second to none, Carlisle Auctions saw an increase in the quality of consignments plus yet another increase in registered bidders for the event.

Not only did cars and trucks spanning nearly 100 years cross the block, so did a handful of boats, RVs and even an airplane or two. Once the dust settled and the final gavel dropped, the top seller was a 1934 Buick Series 60 model 61 5p Club Sedan. This ultra-rare classic moved for $85,425 (including all fees). The remaining lots helped generate the aforementioned nearly $3 million in sales and this 2016 Fall offering also served as the perfect appetizer for when Carlisle Auctions returns for Winter AutoFest in February.

As February goes, Carlisle Events and Carlisle Auctions return to Lakeland and the SUN 'n FUN Campus for Winter AutoFest from February 23-26, 2017. This four-day event will offer a swap meet, car corral, car show and auction. The auction is once again backed by Carlisle Auctions, while Parliament Motor coach and Prestige Aviation help support the growing Air & Coach Concours.
