1923 Buick Series 23 Sport Roadster

For the 1923 model year, Buick styling was substantially improved with crowned fenders, cowl lights and new drum-shaped headlights. The 1923 Buick also received a fresh appearance with its new grille design; this feature would remain virtually unchanged through 1927. Technical improvements included repositioned rear spring hangers, a lower suspension system and a transmission lock. An increase in engine life was achieved through a harder cylinder casting, a larger crankshaft and stronger connecting rods, pistons and main bearings.

This 1923 Buick Model 6-54 Sport Roadster is a completely unrestored, original automobile, appearing just as it did when removed from storage several years ago.

The current owner has restored the car's mechanical workings only as needed to make it operable. Otherwise, it is in 'as found' condition - something rarely seen today.

Buick was a popular-selling car in 1923. This roadster, of which 4,501 were sold that year, is powered by Buick's 241 cubic-inch inline six that develops 60 horsepower. Price new in 1923 was $1,625.
