1958 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder

Ferrari built 14 examples of the LWB California Spider in 1958, with the remaining 36 examples being built between 1959 and 1960. This particular California Spider is likely the final example to be made in 1958. It was completed on December 3rd of 1958 with a Certificate of Origin issued two days later. The car's first owner resided in Milan, Italy, and was registered on Italian license plates in February 1959. With the car's registration in Italy, it was given the mandatory open headlights (headlight covers have since been fitted).

The car entered the care of its second owner in October of 1959, also of Milan, and would retain the car until May of 1961. It changed hands again in September of 1962, then again in May of 1964, continuing to reside in Milan. In September 1965, the next owner relocated from Milan to Pavia (around 35 kilometers south) and would keep the Ferrari until July 1981. Its next owner resided in a new city northeast of Milan, in Bergamo, and in December of 1981, it was purchased by an individual in Milan's Desio suburbs. Here it would stay for the next 13 years.

Modena Motorsport GmbH, located near Düsseldorf in Germany, acquired the Ferrari in January of 1995. At the time, the car was in unrestored condition and wore a red exterior with a tan interior. That same year, it was sold to a Paris, France, and shortly after it is noted to have been displayed during the VIII Louis Vuitton Automobiles Classiques Concours d'Elegance in Bois de Boulogne, near Paris. It was also shown at the 22nd edition of Retromobile in the French capitol later in 1997.

In June of 1997, the car was purchased by its current caretaker.

This car is currently finished in red over a tan leather interior. It has a black fabric top and is accompanied by a colors-matching hardtop and a tool roll.
