MALAYSIA'S RTM TO BROADCAST PUTRAJAYA ePRIX

PUTRAJAYA, MALAYSIA (November 21 2014) - RTM, a free-to-air public TV broadcaster in Malaysia, will televise live coverage of this weekend's Formula E Putrajaya ePrix.

In addition to live race coverage, the agreement will see RTM air delayed footage from the morning's qualifying session. RTM will review all the Formula E action together with pre-race build-up, podium celebrations and driver interviews.

Ali Russell, Director of Media at Formula E, said: 'I'm delighted to announce this deal with RTM. This is a country with a growing motorsport tradition and we hope Formula E becomes a permanent fixture for audiences to watch both here in Malaysia and around the world.'

Albert Khoo Cheng Chwee, Head of Sports at RTM said: 'I'm pleased that RTM will be able to bring viewers the opportunity to see this innovative new series - which promises top-level open-wheel racing on the streets of Putrajaya.'

RTM joins previously announced broadcasters FOX Sports, TV Asahi and ITV4 who have all committed to showing coverage of Formula E races.

The FOX Sports deal alone covers 88 territories around the world and a potential global audience of 180 million households, whilst TV Asahi boasts a household reach of 51.4 million. ITV4 is available to almost 26.2 million homes in the UK with an estimated weekly audience of 10.6 million. Further TV rights deals will be announced in the coming weeks.

At 1.59miles (2.56km) and featuring 12 turns, the street circuit is located near the Perdana Putra housing the Prime Minister's Office, using much of the main high street and passing several of the city's most recognisable buildings such as the Ministry of Finance. It also encompasses the beautiful Seri Wawasan Bridge and Putra Mosque.
