(WHITLEY, UK) - April 24, 2014
- Jaguar UK is the headline sponsor of Clerkenwell Design Week 2014 (May 20-22). This year Jaguar will undertake a collaborative project with fellow event partner Foscarini, which will culminate with the unveiling of a bespoke installation inspired by the new Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe sports car.

This is the fourth year in succession that Jaguar is the lead sponsor of Clerkenwell Design Week. In 2014, Jaguar will theme its presence on physical concepts representing 'Fearless Design.' This theme will be integral to the Jaguar and Foscarini installation, which will be presented as an illuminated sculpture in the Farmiloe Building's dramatic atrium.

On May 2, Jaguar will announce the winner of a unique design competition, launched and coordinated through Jaguar UK's official social media channels. The competition invited designers to showcase a design concept, and share the image on Twitter or Instagram using #FearlessDesign. In 140 characters, the inspiration and details behind the concept were to be explained. Only one rule existed - each concept should be a representation of Fearless Design. The winner will be selected by Jaguar Design Director Ian Callum, and the creation will be brought to life and become a focal point of the Jaguar suite of exhibits at Clerkenwell Design Week.

Alongside these unique installations will be a production version of the new Jaguar F-TYPE R Coupe, the most dynamically-capable and performance-focused Jaguar ever. Winner of the 2013 World Car Design of the Year in convertible form, the new Coupe version adds a dramatic roof line inspired by the Jaguar E-type. The F-TYPE Coupe is the realization of a long-held ambition of Jaguar Design Director Ian Callum to create a two-seat Jaguar sports car. It is the ultimate expression of Jaguar sports car DNA.
